I wanted to boycott Christmas. I didn't think I could stomach getting a tree and decorating in my new life as a single person. I thought it would be too hard, too sad, too triggering.
But I did it. "In with the new" I told myself. Listen as I talk about the healing power of friendship and love, grieving and healing, and "cutting circles" (my new favorite phrase).
